Rosslyn Chapel
Rosslyn Chapel is simply fascinating and is home to many of the Green Men carvings and theories regarding the Knights Templar. Recently made world famous by it's pivotal inclusion in the book and movie of The Da Vinci Code, by Dan Brown. It has been painstakingly restored and is an intriguing place to explore. The tour guides explain the history and offer some fascinating insights into the many legends associated with Rosslyn such as whether the Holy Grail lies buried in the caverns below?
The graveyard just down from the car park is atmospheric and there are some lovely walks in Roslin Glen. Adults £9.00 (children free)
Directions: Two buses required. Bus on London Road towards Princes Street 4/15/19/26/34/44. Best buy bus Day ticket Cost £4.00 adult (multi-use). Get off bus beside Scott Monument. Cross road to stop outside Marks & Spencer. Take Bus 37 Penicuik/Deanburn. NOT Bus 37 Bush or Easter Bush. Takes approximately 1 hour.
